BACKGROUD
Having
realized that good and sustainable democratic
values are essential ingredients for economic
emancipation and empowerment, Community Action
Project (CAP) was founded. It was primarily established
to harness those interlinking factors for the
benefits of the masses of rural communities and
urban disadvantaged.
CAP-WA
is a non-governmental organization established
over 10 years ago. It is non-profit, non-sectarian,
and non-partisan organization of individual membership
groups and affiliates, collaborators both local
and internationally.. |

MILESTONE
 CAP
has achieved a good recognition for carrying out
civic education programmes in West Africa, particularly
in
Lagos, the South
West, and Lome (Togo) through the assistance of
Association of West Young African (MOPWA) and
Agenda Green Africa (AGA). CAP is a follow-up
to effective and purposeful grassroots participation
in governance, economic eompowerment and sustainable
functional education within democratic values
of our communities in West African Region
ORGANIZATION
STRUCTURE
a. Register individual members of all those who
share its aims and objectives.
b. Register affiliate groups.
c. Collaborators both Local and international.

GENERAL
COORDINATION
Coordination, policy decisions and project implementation
are carried out through:
1. Quarterly and annual general meeting…of members,
affiliates and willing collaborators.- major changes in
the organization including amendment to the charter are
carried out at such meetings.
2. Board of Trustees takes decision and sign agreement
with collaborators.-Approves the budget and direction
of projects.
3. Management and coordination committee sees to the programs
and implementation.
4. Conferences, seminars and evaluation meetings
5. Publications:
a) Information material and special study papers are published.
b) Website
c) Radio/Television media. |
